Hi folks,

A quick reminder that there is a ceilidh happening this Friday (8th Oct).
For a change this Ceilidh will be held at Stephenson Hall and will be
featuring a scratch band formed from the rich pool of Ceilidhsoc's
talented musicians; with Ceilidhsoc regular John Brown calling the dances.

For details of how to get to Stephenson hall have alook at the map on the
website: http://www.ceilidhsoc.org/map.html

We are especially lucky this week to have a pre-ceilidh workshop on
songwriting led by the hugely talented signer/songwriter/performer Richard
Masters. The workshop will start at 7.15pm also at Stephenson Hall.

The ceilidh will run from 8.30pm and costs £3 for members.

The regular beginners music workshop has now resumed, the next workshop
will be on Tuesday 12th October and will be held at 7.30pm in Hicks
Building Lecture Theatre 4. From Tuesday 19th onwards, they're back in
Octagon Meeting Room 3 as usual. Anyone who is interested in learning
some tunes is welcome to come along.

There is also a regular session in the Red House pub from 9pm ish onwards
every Tuesday. So a great chance to learn some tunes at the workshop then
try them out at the session.

I think thats plenty to keep everyone entertained for now, see you all on
Friday!

Owain.
