[Ceilidhsoc] Ceilidh Time!

Hi folks,

A quick reminder that it's ceilidh time again!

The ceilidh is this Friday, the 22nd October from 8.30 - midinght at
Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind hall and will be featuring a scratch
band formed from the rich pool of Ceilidhsoc's talented musicians; with
Ceilidhsoc regular Jenny Langridge calling the dances.
Entry is £2 for members before 9pm, £3 after, and £4 for non-members,
alternatively you can join as a member for £3 and go to the Ceilidh for
free!

Sheffield Folk Festival

The first Sheffield folk festival is taking place on 29th - 31st October,
there will be two fanatastic ceilidhs happening as well as a host of
concerts, workshops and sessions featuring many of the talents of
Ceilidhsoc and friends.

Festvial Ceilidh's:

When: Friday 29th October
Who: Hekety and Martyn Harvey
Where: St Phillip's Social Club, Daisy Lane, Sheffield

When: Saturday 30th October
Who: Trinculo and John Brown
Where: Blind Institute, Mappin Street, Sheffield

Tickets can be purchased at the event or in advance (see website for
advance tickets and day/season tickets.)

The regular beginners music workshop continues every Tuesday at 7.30pm
in Octagon Meeting Room 3.  Anyone who is interested in learning some
tunes is welcome to come along.

There is also a regular session in the Red House pub from 9pm ish onwards
every Tuesday. So a great chance to learn some tunes at the workshop then
try them out at the session.

I think thats plenty to keep everyone entertained for now, see you all on
