1. We're coming out of the closet (well function room)! We have a new
session venue for our Wednesday music sessions, the University Arms
(opposite the chemistry department, next the the new Information Commons).
From 8pm one of our delightful music officers will be teaching a tune or
two for beginners and then from 9pm onwards the session becomes a general
free-for-all. We'll be in the main bar area or the conservatory, so even
if you don't play you can come along to chat, listen and generally
socialise.

2. The Blind Institute has still not been knocked down, so on the 16th
we'll be having out next ceilidh with one of our fantastic scratch bands
and our new sound kit.

3. The next ceilidh in Sheffield is a charity ceilidh (not affiliated to
us) at Ranmoor Hall on Saturday from 19:30 to midnight. £3 on the door.

4. Poke, a band which defies description and who sing about hoovers and
caves are playing at the Grapes on Trippet Lane on friday. Not folk, but
definitely fun and twisted. see www.pokehole.co.uk for details.

See you around,

Bob
