You may well have heard by now that the annual Inter-Varsity Folk Dance
> Festival (IVFDF) is coming to Sheffield next year, on the weekend of 29th
> February-2nd March at the Students’ Union and Octagon.
>
> For those who haven’t been before, it’s a whole weekend full of
> ceilidhs, dance workshops, music sessions, drinking, not sleeping very
> much and generally having fun, attended by students, ex-students and
> probably a few non-students from all over the UK.
>
> We want to hear your suggestions of workshops you’d like to see at the
> festival. The majority of IVFDF workshops are dance workshops (of many
> varieties - modern or traditional, and from any world tradition) but also
> include music, singing, calling and anything else remotely creative –
> storytelling, crafts, massage… Also, if you know any people or
> groups/societies who might be interested in leading a workshop, please
let
> us know.
>
> Please email your suggestions to lip07cmr at shef.ac.uk. To find out about
> next year’s IVFDF have a look at www.ivfdf.ceilidhsoc.org
>
> Thanks,
>
> Charley (on behalf of the IVFDF 2008 committee)
